Presidential address at Africa's Travel Indaba - 4 May 2019

President Cyril Ramaphosa will on Saturday, 04 May 2019, address the annual Africa Travel Indaba at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban,KwaZulu-Natal.

The Indaba, which is hosted in Durban annually, provides a platform for African countries to showcase and market themselves as tourist destinations. It is also an opportunity for a dialogue on the collective positioning of “Brand Africa” to attract more tourists and grow the African tourism market.

The Indaba features exhibitions on countries including the Republic of Botswana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Kingdom of Lesotho, the Republic of Malawi, the Republic of Mozambique, the Republic of Namibia, the Republic of Zambia, the Republic of Zimbabwe, the Republic of Madagascar, the Republic of Rwanda and the Republic of Uganda.

This flagship event is attended by a range of exhibitors; local and international buyers; tourism and business media; industry stakeholders; members of tourism associations and captains of industry.

President Ramaphosa will visit a number of exhibition stands before delivering a keynote address in line with the 2019 Indaba theme which focuses on 25 years of freedom and democracy in South Africa.

Venue: Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, in Durban KwaZulu-Natal Province.
