ATI 2026 Day One Protocol
Traffic, Transport & Parking Logistics
On 12th May, due to enhanced security operations and VVIP movement protocols, traffic management measures will be implemented around the Durban ICC precinct.
Parking Arrangements
Please note:
- Parking will not be available at the Durban ICC on 12 May 2026 except for pre-authorised officials and staff.
- Delegate and exhibitor parking will be redirected to the Centrum Parking Facility
Delegates are strongly encouraged to utilise official event shuttle services where possible.
Shuttle & Drop-Off Procedures
To support efficient traffic flow and controlled access:
- One lane on Bram Fischer Road will be designated exclusively as a shuttle drop-off zone
- On 12 May 2026, no shuttle vehicles will be permitted to proceed up the ICC ramp
- All shuttle passengers will be required to disembark at the designated drop-off area and proceed to the venue entrance on foot
3. Access Control & Queue Management
Enhanced screening and access control procedures will be in operation at all venue entrances.
All attendees will be required to undergo mandatory security screening, including bag scanning and metal detection.
To support efficient processing, four dedicated queue lines will be implemented on 12 May 2026:
Queue 1
Delegates already in possession of accreditation badges carrying small bags or handbags.
Queue 2
Delegates already in possession of accreditation badges carrying larger handbags, laptop bags, or backpacks.
Queue 3
Pre-registered delegates who have not yet collected their accreditation badges.
Queue 4
Delegates travelling with luggage, large bags, or suitcases requiring additional screening.
Visitor Registration
Visitors who are not yet registered may complete registration outside the venue at the designated registration kiosks.
Once registration approval has been completed, delegates will then proceed to the appropriate access queue based on their baggage requirements.
Important Security Advisory
Please note:
- All bags and personal items will be subject to screening
- Accreditation badges must be presented upon request at all times
- Early arrival is strongly encouraged to accommodate enhanced security procedures and controlled venue access
4. Trade Floor Opening Ceremony Access
Access to the official Trade Floor Opening Ceremony within the South Foyer will be strictly controlled.
Wristband Access:
- Wristbands will be required for entry into the South Foyer Opening Ceremony venue
- Wristbands will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis
- Space within the venue is limited
Please note:
- VIP and protocol-designated guests may receive pre-issued wristbands in advance through the relevant protocol channels
