With the continent's largest travel trade show, Africa's Travel Indaba, kicking off from 2-4 May 2019 in Durban, it's no surprise that the city's trendiest lifestyle hotspot is joining the party. That's right, Florida Road and many of its establishments will be offering Africa's Travel Indaba specials, extended opening hours, and live entertainment in their effort to join the “We Do Tourism” revolution.
Delegates at Africa's Travel Indaba 2019 will be pleased to know that there will be shuttles available to Florida Road from the hotels. You can find the full list of shuttle details by downloading the schedule here.

KFC
KFC are hosting an exhibition of art by 5 specially chosen local Durban artists who will be present on site to meet guests and discuss their works. All art on display will be for sale at very reasonable prices.
Sponsoring an art exhibition to showcase and, hopefully, sell the art works of five young emerging Durban based artists. They have all been identified as excellent talents by Andries Botha who is one of South Africa’s most recognised artists/sculptors globally and is best known for building incredible life-size models of elephants that are exhibited all over the world. Andries is Durban born and bred, is passionate about the city and its art scene and I am sure that the works to be exhibited for sale will be a great advert for the high quality of art produced here.
KFC will erect a tarpaulin on the forecourt of their store right on Florida Road and make all the arrangements necessary to ensure that the art is properly displayed and that the artists themselves will all be there to talk about and sell their artworks. We plan to exhibit from 6pm to 10pm but this are flexible.
Visitors will have the opportunity to buy some excellent local original art without breaking the bank.
The artist who have been chosen to exhibit are Bhekazi Ngcobo, Joseph Manana, Jessica Bothma, Kenneth Shandu, Janine Zagel and Lindelane Ndumiso.
10% of all art sales will be donated to the Umgeni Estuary Conservancy who do magnificent work clearing the estuary of debris and removing noxious and alien plants.
