With just 30 days to INDABA 2016, over 9 000 meetings have already been scheduled and 3 000 meetings have been confirmed. This is up by 1 000 when compared to just over 2 000 last year, which equates to 5.3 meetings scheduled per participant; also up from last year’s 3.2.
The response from participants has been encouraging and the numbers are proof that participants are finding matches and scheduling their meetings, showing a great mix of exhibitors and buyers for this year’s event.
These numbers not only demonstrate the power of the event to match participants with buyers, but also the event’s ability to schedule meetings. Participants are more active in the system and one reason for this is that returning exhibitors are more comfortable using the system.
Another reason for this success is that participants are able to select who they want to meet, and this provides a higher quality meeting as participants meet with the people they want to meet and do not rely on auto-matching. This sets INDABA apart from other shows, giving it a competitive edge.
INDABA takes place from 7 to 9 May, 2016 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre (Durban ICC) and Durban Exhibition Centre (DEC).
