INDABA 2015, the biggest travel and tourism trade show on the African continent, is around the corner and tourism businesses are preparing to showcase their products and services to global buyers
Now in it’s 35th year, INDABA promises to once again exceed the expectations of both exhibitors and buyers.
An impressive number of exhibitors have already confirmed their attendance at the trade show and the INDABA team is currently evaluating a list of over 500 Hosted Buyers applications. Only 309 of the top international buyers will be selected as Hosted Buyers.
Last year’s INDABA saw almost 1 200 different products, experiences and services being exhibited to a total of more than 8 700 attendees.
The trade show, which is also the largest tourism marketing event in Africa, has been hailed by South African Tourism CEO Thulani Nzima as the single biggest platform for African tourism businesses to meet global buyers.
There are several reasons why exhibitors shouldn’t miss the opportunity to be a part of INDABA 2015.
For starters, there’s no other show that brings together as many top-quality buyers looking for African travel products.
Secondly, an improved “matchmaking” system will allow exhibitors better access to buyers than ever before and will offer increased opportunities to meet buyers and conduct business in the business buyer lounge, which was added due to the success of the premier lounge. In order for exhibitors to make the most of the matchmaking system, they are being encouraged to complete as much information in their INDABA profiles.
The upgraded online diary system, which will be refreshed regularly, can be used to book individual appointments with exhibitors of your choice or to preschedule conveyor-belt appointments, group appointments and presentations.
The INDABA app as well as presentations by well-known speakers at the popular TECHZone will show you how technology can be used to improve travel for both consumers and trade. Delegates can also look forward to the Twitter wall on which all tweets with the hashtag #INDABA2015 will be displayed, tech-inspired activations and spaces for delegates to refresh, relax and connect.
This year’s trade show will also provide better networking opportunities than ever before. Spaces will be made available for networking to ensure better interaction between roleplayers in the tourism industry.
Lastly, buyers will have a chance to gain inspiration from the largest team of African exhibitors under one roof and explore a large range of products that will help them grow their African tourism businesses.
So not only will the trade show give delegates the chance to meet and network with the industry’s key roleplayers and decision makers, but they will also have access to all the continent’s leisure options and be able to negotiate the best deals on these products, all in one place – at INDABA 2015.
