Thursday 19th May - 7am departure from the Hilton Hotel Durban with a stop over at St Lucia where you will enjoy a complimentary Safari Cruise and lunch on board while viewing hippos & excellent birdlife. From here you will continue your journey up the Elephant Coast to Kosi Forest Lodge.
You will spend 2 nights at the quaint Kosi Forest Lodge nestled into a magnificent sand forest on the edge of Lake Shengeza. From here you will be able to explore the waterways by guided canoe and follow hippo paths through the ancient Raffia Forests. Weather permitting you will enjoy a full day motorized boat trip on the Kosi Lakes System visiting the famous Kosi Fish Traps and remote Bhanga Nek beach. This is a time for you to kickback and relax after the hectic pace of Indaba.
On Saturday 21st May you will bid farewell to Kosi Forest Lodge and continue down the coast to Thonga Beach Lodge, an idyllic retreat set amongst the sand dunes on one of Africa's last remaining wilderness beaches. You will do a short cultural tour through Mabibi village before visiting Lake Sibaya where you will enjoy snacks & drinks while watching a spectacular African Sunset. The next morning offers the opportunity to go snorkelling in the warm Indian Ocean or try your hand at kayaking on Lake Sibaya. After your early morning activities and a delicious breakfast you will take a 4x4 transfer out of Thonga back to your vehicle which will be waiting to take you down to Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge.
Sunday 22 May you will overnight at Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge the only private lodge situated in the Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park famous for its white rhino conservation. This is a superb way to end off your trip in 4 star luxury while enjoying 2 game drives.
Monday 23 May - After an early morning game drive and hearty brunch it will be time to head back to King Shaka Airport - Durban.
